About Rush Evans

Rush Evans is a nationally-published music journalist and a passionate music collector. He was a frequent contributor to Discoveries magazine, a national music collectors’ publication for whom he wrote thirteen cover stories and dozens of other features. He is an ongoing contributor to the premiere record collectors’ magazine, Goldmine (three cover stories) and Austin’s The Good Life magazine. He writes liner notes for many nationally released CDs on Varese Sarabande Records (including Doug Kershaw, Bob Wills, Ralph Stanley, Sir Douglas Quintet). Evans is also the publicist for SteadyBoy Records, the Austin-based label created by Texas music Hall of Famer Freddie Steady Krc.
